Delphy Improvement Centre focuses on knowledge development within the sectors 'Greenhouse Horticulture' and 'Indoor Farming'. Our mission is to make knowledge and (technical) developments applicable within sustainable cultivation systems and to transfer them to practice. Delphy Improvement Centre is equipped with practical greenhouse departments and Indoor Farming facilities. For further growth and development of our research team, we are looking for a:

Research specialist Glasshouse horticulture

As a Glasshouse Horticulture Research Specialist, you will use your knowledge to initiate and carry out research projects that are innovative and directional. Research and advice go more hand in hand and focus on specific themes, such as light, energy and crop optimisation. Research increasingly contributes to digitalisation within Delphy. You are independent, work in teams and are the pivot between clients (grower groups, suppliers, knowledge groups, etc.), fellow researchers and advisors. You translate your research knowledge and results into usable knowledge for colleagues, clients and entrepreneurs. You work at the interface of research and application in practice.

You will bring

• Entrepreneurship, motivation and eagerness to learn
• Good communication and social skills
• WO/HBO education (research related)
• Knowledge of greenhouse crops and their cultivation
• At least 3 years of working experience in a similar position
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages
